Leaving Certificate Applied support focuses first of all on the induction of teachers who are involved in the LCA programme for the first time. An extensive schedule of inservice workshops on the different courses in LCA was provided in Term 1. Additional support has been organised for the Vocational Preparation Task and the Personal Reflection Task to take place in February and March. Continuing support will also be provided in relation to implementation including reviewing and planning for both LCA Coordinators and Principals.

Helpline
A helpline service by phone, fax and email will be available. School visits will be undertaken in response to requests where resources permit - priority will be given to schools who are new to the programme.

Network Meetings
A series of local evening network meetings will take place in Spring 2007. These will be organised in partnership with the Education Centres and the National Association of LCA Coordinators. Further details will be provided locally.
