Induction courses for Geography Teachers.

Target Group: This course is aimed at teachers who are new to the profession and teachers new to the revised Leaving Cert Geography Syllabus.
Course Aims: A series of one day regional cluster in-service events has been organised specifically for teachers new to Leaving Certificate Geography or who have not previously attended in-service for the Revised Leaving Certificate Geography syllabus. The first part of the workshop will provide participants with an overview of the revised Leaving Certificate Geography syllabus. Core Units, Electives and Options will be explored. The second part of the workshop will enable participants to explore resources for teaching Geography. A course CD-Rom will be provided which includes course materials, powerpoint presentations, photographs, flash files, etc. Participants will also explore the Scoilnet Maps which provides access to all relevant maps and includes additional resource materials.
